Meet Lyndsay the Doula
Lyndsay Eckhart, CBD, CH
Hello, I’m Lyndsay! I’m a Certified Birth Doula and the founder of Sublime Motherhood. As a proud military wife, I’m thrilled to be working closely with military families and serving our local community here on Guam. My supportive skills and professional titles include Bereavement Doula, Herbalist, Childbirth Educator, Early Childhood Educator, Placenta Encapsulation Specialist, Postpartum Doula, and Yoga Instructor, to name a few.
My journey began as a young, inexperienced mother, full of anxiety and searching for support. I personally found childbirth and postpartum recovery very difficult with my first pregnancy, struggling with prenatal hyperemesis, breastfeeding difficulties, postpartum depression and anxiety, and my new life as a mother.
I discovered doulas during my second pregnancy and took my first training with DONA International to educate myself in 2014. I quickly fell in love with supporting new families after experiencing how wonderful birth and motherhood can be with the right support! As a Doula, my support style has been described as quiet, intuitively soothing, and comforting while remaining a strong advocate when necessary and desired by clients.
My birth philosophy is your birth philosophy. I am respectful of every family’s experience, and it is my priority to focus on what is most important to you. My goals as a professional are to gently reduce fear and anxiety, eliminate pain as much as possible, and provide physical and emotional comfort so that you feel confident and supported no matter your birth plans.
When I'm not talking about childbirth education or coaching my clients through contractions, you can find me down at Tarague Beach, curled up with a good book, tending my patio garden, or spending time with family enjoying the island pace of life.
